As the president of Creative Fusion, Ms. Billings assumes a variety of roles including business management, Creative Director, and Senior Account Manager. She has developed successful campaigns for a diverse range of markets, utilizing a full scope of creative skills, extensive experience, and a propensity for never saying “No.” She believes that the smallest detail affects the bigger picture, which is why she puts so much heart and initiative into everything she does. Outside of work life, she enjoys a mind-clearing run, special time with her two teenage boys, social gatherings with family and friends, a good belly laugh and the general spice of life. At Creative Fusion, she relishes the fantastic team of staff and clients that hit everyday challenges with passion—and the fact that even though she’s been doing this for over 20 years, she learns something new every day.

Originally from Jakarta, Alex moved to San Diego to attend college. He graduated from San Diego State in 1991 with a background in Industrial Arts, emphasis in Graphic Arts, and he started his career in the design world when a PageMaker file was still saved on a 512 KB floppy disk. Alex joined the Creative Fusion team in 1998, getting his hands on every aspect of the industry—from working with our talented designers and providing creative direction, to figuring out why their Macs won’t start. But after all those years of experience, he’s still trying to figure out how to score a par, and decide which kind of red wine he actually likes best.

Production Manager

Her name is Carol Short—though the only thing ‘short’ about her is her size. She is the big wig for Creative Fusion’s production department, accomplishes tall orders for all her clients, and has a huge heart. She has worked as a production manager in multiple industries for over 35 years, but always finds her way back to the print world, which is ever changing and always challenging. She is passionate about her profession—working earnestly and eagerly, getting things done right (and right on time), and finding solutions before they even become problems. She is always a step ahead so keep up… or you’ll fall behind. When she finally does get out of the office, she loves heading back to her life at the beach, traveling, cooking and spending quality time with her California family and friends. And once a year, she can't resist getting back to her roots in ole Virginia!

Born and froze in Michigan. Moved to Coronado in high school. Set his sights on commercial photography in San Francisco, then stumbled upon graphic design by working at a small-town newspaper in Kansas. (Don’t ask him how he ended up there.) After realizing where he was, he returned to San Diego and continued his passion for graphic design at the San Diego Daily Transcript. In the next phase of his career, he was lucky enough to join a startup at the peak of the dot com gold rush. He is comfortable in an analog world as much as a digital one. He loves all things vintage. His personal mantra has always been ‘Never stop learning and discovering’. At the end of the workday you can find him spending time with his family, brewing beer, hiking and exploring San Diego County, listening to music, and, of course, taking pictures.

Brandon is a Midwest transplant determined to experience everything fun that southern California has to offer. While trying out a variety of careers from farming Christmas trees to selling men’s hats he found his true passion—graphic design and illustration. Learning at an early age how important it is to work hard and stay humble has given him the ‘I can do anything attitude’ that has helped him survive a career in design. Brandon is inspired by his morning coffee, the gravitational pull of a black hole and everything in between—he strives to explore and find the best solution to every challenge.

Cecile joined the Creative Fusion team in 2013 bringing with her a multitude of design comprehensions including print, current web practices, UI, UX, programming, environmental design, large format graphics, and photo manipulation cultivated steadily since 2000. Equally left and right brained, she digests information quickly and is able to process comprehensive solutions for a wide variety of industries. Her indomitable enthusiasm for design continues every year as she tackles new challenges and trends. She considers herself a foodie maximus, garnering names such as “food face,” “feed bag,” and “garbage disposal”, lives to eat and cooks not for the pleasure of cooking but for the payoff.

Sarah is the newest member to the Creative Fusion team, though she feels this is where she was meant to be all along. She was born and raised in San Diego—a true native and enthusiast for life on the West Coast. She graduated with honors in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting—combined with her hard work and passion for life, she lives each day by the mantra that “if you believe in yourself, anything is possible.” Outside of work, she loves taking pictures to capture special moments with her extra large family, and also enjoys cooking and traveling. Oh… and her free time is spent chasing after her three boys with her husband. They are outnumbered.

Lauren graduated from UC Riverside with a degree in Creative Writing. Creative Fusion has become a place where her passion for words, language, and attention to detail coincide. Being part of a team where even the smallest voice is heard is truly her ideal. If she’s not buried in a book, plucking a musical instrument, or at the barn as a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor, Lauren can be found spending time with her husband and their four dogs or enjoying nature’s playground—hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddling, and camping.
